To the untrained eye, Cole doesn't appear to be doing anything special.

But, I assure you, he is.

He's blowing you a kiss. His newest trick he seemed to learn out of nowhere. Well, Ms. Nora has been trying to teach him how to blow kisses for a long time but it wasn't until he saw my coworker, Missi, in the hall today that it clicked. He must know Missi has a candy dish in her office.

And after he blows you a kiss, he expects you to clap. A lot. If you don't he takes matters into his own hands and claps for himself.
