December 6, 2011Today was the first day in Cole's entire life that he refused to let me carry him in to school. He shrieked and squirmed until I set him down to race Pearl to the doors. While my back and shoulders are appreciative of not having to carry his 24 lbs. of pure muscle, my heart was crushed. I can picture it now.... dropping him off at school and Cole being embarrassed when I go to give him a hug or wave bye at him.
Today I knew my baby isn't a baby anymore. I'm just not sure I'm ready for him to be a big boy.
