I finally finished a project I said I was going to finish oh, so long ago.
To turn my blogs into a book. Or in my case four books. The first arrived today and Pearl wouldn't put it down. She told me it was her new favorite book. It was so much fun to hold my blog in my hands and flip through all the pictures, stories, rants, and emotions.
I just happened to procrastinate this project long enough to score some sweet deals. First, blog2print had a 15% off sale. I used blog2print to turn my blog into a pdf file because I refused to pay $200 to have them turn it into a book. And that was just for one book... I had four to make. Then I happened to stumble upon a friend's blog post about lulu.com, a professional publishing service. She had used blog2print to make a pdf of her blog then used lulu to have it printed in a hardcover book. So I procrastinated some more, just long enough to find out lulu was having a first-time author sale. I got $25 off my books, making it super reasonable to print them all! And the result is beautiful. My only regret is that I don't upload my pictures to my blog in a bigger size.
I'm excited to have something my kids (and myself) can read through over the years and laugh at, cry with, and cherish.

This is a huge project...so glad you did it! I've determined I'll have to wait until Kaleb starts school to do ours!
