We went down to Price again today for my Uncle Jim's funeral. Two funerals in two weeks, not so fun. Since we had used up our extra money for a hotel last week, we decided to get up early to make the drive. We also knew we had a long drive home and had to come up with something fun to get out the wiggles. And.... we had to make up for our epic failure the last time we tried our luck with dinosaur explorations.
So we told Pearl we'd take her to a dinosaur museum if she was good at the funeral. We almost didn't keep our promise though because we couldn't find the place! Luckily my sister has a fancy-schmancy phone and Googled the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum. It wasn't very big, but it did have a lot of dinosaur bones and even a mammoth from Huntington Canyon in it. I learned how the dinosaur footprint in my Grandpa's backyard was formed. Cole had a great time running around with all the big "horsies." Pearl's favorite part was the gift shop where she suckered my Mom into two dinosaur books and us into a handful of toy dinosaurs. And mine and Jeff's favorite part? Two kids napping all the way home!
As Jeff said when we were leaving, "Best parents EVER!"
